I noticed some class showing a video supposedly exposing Fox News, and I thought a bit more about the whole liberal/conservative thing and the press after talking with the teacher. (I personally find it ludicrous to argue US news has a conservative bent because of being corporately run, when the mass of journalists vote Democrat and when polled prove to be pro-abortion, pro-gay rights, etc.)
I am convinced more than ever it comes down to whether one believes there is One who "knows better"... and whether that One is represented in the Bible. Apart from this, there is no sense standing against "progressivism" since man would be the measure of all things, and morality would indeed be a relative matter.
For instance, I do blame liberalism for such things as the spread of the practice of oral sex among younger and younger teens (including in exchange for favors, making it prostitution). Why? Because apart from a "biblical" moral reason, there is little that can be told to a young person that would prove anything is wrong with such behavior. Liberals can only opine about the danger of STD's, making it seem as though if that problem were out of the way, there could be no objection!
But what if there is a Designer or Creator who has our best interests at heart, to whom we owe our existence, and to whom we shall answer for this existence we've been granted? This seems to me to be the most basic matter, and this is at the crux of everything.
If were no such God, then it really wouldn't matter what anyone does, for ultimately there would be no meaning to existence other than whatever each individual makes for it. If there is a God who "knows better" (and thus is to be trusted), then our entire attitude should be one of submission and even a healthy fear (of missing out on the best that Creator has for us, if nothing else).

@quest4god@revelife - Psalm 100
"Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands, serve the Lord with gladness, enter His courts with thanksgiving.
Know ye that the Lord, He is God;
It is He that hath made us, NOT WE OURSELVES:
we are HIS people and the sheep of HIS pasture..."
or something like that.
It is good to recognize we owe our existence to Someone Else!
I watched MNBC and CNN last night for the first time in a long time, and was struck at the bias displayed by their commentators.
So why is it that only FOX gets the blame for this?
